Early Childhood Education

Senator Preston is a strong advocate for providing adequate funding and resources for early childhood education.

His six children all attended YMCA daycare programs, and his first position as an elected official was as a parent advocate for Chicagoland YMCAs. He knows how much parents rely on childcare and the impact it has on children' s developmental and academic outcomes. That’s why he was proud to support the state budget which included more money for educational facilities, workforce development, pay rate increases, and higher wages for providers.
